CRS CONFERENCE BOOKING INFORMATION, ENNIS, CO CLARE APR 2013

Hi CRS members,
Clare Roots Society is hosting its Second International Family History Conference in Ennis from 2nd April to 6th April 2013. The conference takes place in just under four weeks time. If anyone would like to volunteer to help out, please email me at secretary@clareroots.org
Anyone who has already made a booking or makes a booking by 21st March will be eligible for entry to a draw for a half an hour private consultation with a Professional genealogist from CRS committee. You can make a booking for the conference at our next meeting with :
Martin Breen speaking about Bunratty Families on 21st March at 8 p.m. in Ennis Civic rooms.
Conference Day Entry is €30. If there is availability on day, entry for each  individual lecture will be €10.
Fringe Events from April 2nd to April 5th are free to all paid up CRS members, otherwise there will be a  €5 entry to lectures and films.
There is still some time slots available for the Local Studies tour. Contact me at secretary@clareroots.org to be sure you have a slot on the tour.
We have a wonderful line up of speakers on Saturday the 6th of April, including Michael Gandy editor of The Genealogist's Magazine, an internationally renowned  journal; Peter Higginbotham who is an expert on workhouses in Ireland and the UK who will explore Irish workhouses and those in Co Clare; and Catriona Crowe from the National Archives. We also have Steven and Kit Smyrl, known from the RTE series Dead Money on probate genealogy and Eileen O DĂșill on tracing American cousins. Fiona Fitzsimons from Eneclann will  present a talk on pre 18th Century genealogy sources.
It promises to be a great day with a week of tours, lectures and two book launches in the days leading up to it.
